Cherry juice! My skin elixir!

I never really had a problem with spots as a teenager... I had the odd one, but I was one of the lucky ones as I managed to go through my youth acne free! That is until now!
As i've approached 30 my skin seems to have gone all 'teenage' on me. There's barely been a day go by in the last 2 years were i haven't had at least one or 2 spots and at worst i've had full blown adult acne.

Then I randomly bought some cherry juice form M&S and within days of drinking it my skin cleared up. I noticed this a few times. So i looked online for a more pure/concentrated form of cherry juice to see if it would really make a difference.
I bought cherry active form a health food shop. It's expensive, about £23, but the concentrate lasts a month and it has worked wonders!!!

It's got loads of other health benefits too. It aids recovery of joints after exercise and its rammed with anti-oxidant cancer fighting goodies.

If you've tried lots of things on your skin & are suffering with breakouts I would give cherry concentrate a go.

I've also been using Clinique's anti blemish range too. It's really helped.

Copy cats

I saw these beauty products by Victoria Secret the other day and I thought to myself "Hmmmm looks familiar". It's a shameless rip off of a YSL perfume!
Designers often borrow and use other brands as inspiration, but whoever did this should be ashamed of themselves & YSL should sue them!
Look at these other copy-cats! It happens all the time. Lame.

TOP 13 BEAUTY PRODUCTS

I'm addicted to buying cosmetics and beauty products. But I reckon 70% of the things I buy don't live up to the promise or are just completely useless. But these 13 items below belong to that category of rare things that actually work! Believe me, i've tried them all and I'd buy these again and again.

Pandemonia

I was in Bethnal Green in London and spotted Pandemonia being photographed in the street...

Pandemonia is a very tall, very plastic, very ironic piece of art. Covered head-to-toe in Latex, the shiny beauty queen is the epitome of a public obsession with surfaces. Pandemonia boasts several show-stopping creations, including the “Dizzy Blonde”, a royal blue long sleeved dress, polka dotted face and bouncy inflatable blonde locks. Each art work is a simulacrum, accessorised with red lips, blue eye shadow, a plastic complexion and a lightweight inflatable clutch bag.

I'm listening to Grace Jones today. I'd forgotten how amazing she is.
My favourite song is William's Blood. Slave to the Rhythm and Pull up to the bumper are also great tracks. I think she's got such a striking image, bit scary, but very iconic.
She's influenced people like Annie Lennox, Rhianna and Lady Ga Ga practically copies her!
She must be nearly 70 now, but I'd still pay to see her perform...

Sexy Liqueurs

I bought my friend Jess a Liqueur called St. Germain recently as a house-warming gift. It was absolutely delicious, although I mainly bought it for the beautiful packaging design.
I want to start a collection of liqueurs because some of the bottles are so beautiful, a bit like giant perfume bottles.

Despite the snow & freezing cold weather, Easter is on it's way!
If you fancy shelling out up to £60 on an egg here's the best of the bunch. My favorite is the Day of the dead egg by Rococo.

Map birds

These are stunning... If only I had the patience, I'd have a go at making one.

Art as a present

I did this and framed it, as an anniversary present for my other half. He likes Carp (don't ask), but they are beautiful creatures...

We are bit by bit doing up the house... The bedroom was first on the list, the bathroom next, then the hallway... Yes, it's a bit girly, but Steve doesn't seem to mind.

I turned 30 last August... A big milestone. So I thought I better celebrate it.
And in true JDO style, we had to dress up. Since I'm a child of the 80's it seemed like a good theme.
I decided to be a Robert Palmer girl...
